I guess it might be the mail imap setting problem:
The setting info is from google:
The server information of Mail.ru is wrong. You should enter the incoming server information but not outgoing.
Follow this screenshot to edit it, then check if it works. Please make sure the imap has been enabled in your mail settings.
If you looked carefullyh at my first few reply, you will see that I did use 993 port at first.
and the err message still the same after I tried 993 port again

Question:
Why not add a testing feature to test email server setting??
That will save lot of time.
